Health Care Reform

When it comes to worldwide life expectancy and infant mortality, the United States isn't even in the top 10. In fact, it is not in the top 30!.

Would you be surprised to learn that babies born in the Czek Republic, South Korea, and Hong Kong, have a better chance of living than those born in America? The good old USA is 33rd in world infant mortality. Cyprus, New Caledonia and Spain, also have lower infant mortality rates.

Would you believe there are 37 countries in the world that have longer life expectancies than the USA? Japan has the highest, followed by Iceland, Hong Kong, Switzerland and Australia. You will have to read the names of 32 other countries with higher life expectancies than America before you learn an American male can expect to live to 75.6 years, more than 10 years less than a man in Japan.

What do these countries with better statistics have that Americans do not have? The one common factor most have is Universal Health Care for their citizens.

Don't Americans deserve to be as healthy and live as long as Czeks?
